Job Description

As a Data Engineer – Business Intelligence at IBM's Client Innovation Center (CIC), you will:

• Collaborate with public and private sector clients to deliver technical and industry-specific solutions.
• Analyze and gather business requirements for BI projects.
• Customize, test, and support reporting tools.
• Maintain and enhance reporting environments and performance.
• Perform root cause analysis for reporting issues.
• Create and manage visualizations and data models using Tableau and SQL.

Key Skills

Essential:

• SQL (strong knowledge including advanced SQL, joins, relationships)
• Tableau Desktop Specialist (creating impactful data visualizations)
• Experience with custom SQL, data blending, relationships in Tableau

Nice to Have:

Python, Snowflake, Statistics, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools

Requirements:

• Expertise in report development and customization.
• Strong relational database knowledge and SQL troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of business requirements and translating them into data models.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and grow within IBM.

Educational Requirements:

Required: Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred: Master’s Degree
